Despite the Government setting up the Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme to make bank loans available to smaller companies during the recession, it doesn't seem to be working.
A survey by the Federation of Small Businesses of more than 4,000 small firms has found that less than 1 in 10 were able to access loans through the scheme.
This is going to add to the 3,000 small firms going bust every month as the UK slides further into recession.
