HM Revenue & Customs has set up a service to help businesses or the self-employed who have temporary financial problems with paying Income Tax, VAT, National Insurance, PAYE, some duties or other payments.
The Business Payment Support Service (BPSS) offers a streamlined way of setting up a time-to-pay agreement based on an affordable timetable.
The BPSS has received over 32,000 phone calls and made over 15,000 time to pay agreements worth over £245 million since November 2008.
