In May Payzone will be launching a new service to Payzone agents to modernise the processing of discount coupons and vouchers in store.
Today this is a slow and inefficient process that involves large amounts of time and effort, and often takes in excess of six weeks for the face value of coupons
to be reimbursed by the issuing brands. The new service, developed in partnership with a company called Codilink, will introduce new capability to electronically scan coupons using unique barcode
technology.
The service will launch in Payzone stores first, on the pink terminal, and then will be rolled out to all retailers across the UK as part of an industry wide plan move to eliminate manual coupon processing.
The main benefits of the new electronic scanning service include:
simpler & quicker – agents will simply scan the coupons
saves time – removes the need to manually
account and reclaim monies from brands and
wholesalers
Improved cash flow – agents will be reimbursed weekly through payroll
Reduces fraud – the new electronic vouchers can only be scanned once
Footfall driver – the new brands will be
promoting Payzone to their consumers
and, one of the most exciting things about the service is some of the biggest brands in the UK will be running campaigns this summer using the new vouchers, which will drive significant new footfall into our stores.
The coupons will be identified by a
big red V sign.
