06/06/2007 - ATM related fraud on the down, warning efforts heightened

Link Interchange Network Ltd. Has issued tips on how to prevent and avoid fraud. This is in the wake of the release of a report which illustrates the prevalence of ATM related crimes. It shows that ATM fraud has fallen 6% from 2006 to 2005but still costs financial institutions £60 million annually. Card skimming is the most common type of fraud , but has fallen by 23% in 2006 compared with 2005, according to Graham Mott of LIN ltd.
