Storeys:ssp has terminated talks with Altus Edwin Hill over its acquisition.
Storeys decided that they wanted to remain independent.
The original rationale for the merger was that both companies had different geographic focus so would have fitted together well.
Altus Edwin Hill is now expected to grow its own business in the North East where storeys is headquartered.
